This year an estimated $2 billion owed by the U.S government to eligible businesses will go unclaimed. The funds are available through duty drawback, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) initiative that offer businesses a refund of up to 99 percent of certain import duties and taxes paid on products that are later exported or destroyed.
